Working with us

Where are you based and do you work with clients remotely?

We are a distributed team registered in Dubai, UAE, working remotely across time zones. Our clients are based across the UAE, GCC, UK, Europe, and globally — and we work comfortably with all of them without needing to be in the same room. Remote doesn't mean disconnected. We run structured kick-offs, regular check-ins, and clear communication throughout every project. If anything, being distributed has made us better at documenting decisions, keeping briefs tight, and delivering without the noise that comes with unnecessary meetings.

What kinds of businesses do you work with?

We work with e-commerce brands, startups, and growth-stage businesses that take design seriously. Our clients range from founders launching their first digital presence to established companies ready for a complete rebrand or platform rebuild. Industry-wise, we have experience across fashion and beauty, health and wellness, food and beverage, technology, education, tourism, architecture, and retail. What our clients share isn't a sector — it's an appetite for work that's genuinely good.

Who actually does the work — senior people or juniors?

Senior people. Every project at Create Circus is led by a senior member of the team from brief to launch — the same people you meet in the first conversation are the ones doing the work. We're a small team on purpose. That means no handoffs to juniors after the kick-off, no account managers playing telephone between you and the designer, and no drop in quality halfway through a project.

Who owns the work after delivery?

You do — completely. On delivery, you receive full ownership of all design files, source code, and assets. We don't retain any rights to the work, and we don't lock you into proprietary systems that make it difficult to work with anyone else in future. Your Figma files, your WordPress or Shopify codebase, your brand guidelines — all yours.

Do you offer ongoing support after a project is delivered?

Yes — and many of our clients choose to stay with us after launch on a monthly retainer. Our Optimisation & Support retainers cover ongoing design, development, SEO, CRO, and technical maintenance, giving you a dedicated senior team without the cost of hiring in-house. For clients who don't need a retainer, we're also available for ad-hoc work as needed.

Web design & development

Do you build Shopify stores?

Yes — Shopify development is one of the things we do most. We design and build custom Shopify stores for e-commerce brands across the UAE, GCC, and internationally — from first-launch stores to full migrations, theme rebuilds, and performance overhauls for brands that have outgrown their existing setup. We work across the full Shopify stack: UX strategy, custom theme development, product and collection page design, Shopify 2.0 section libraries, CRM and analytics integrations, payment gateway setup, and ongoing feature development.

Do you build websites in Arabic and English?

We work with e-commerce brands, startups, and growth-stage businesses that take design seriously. Our clients range from founders launching their first digital presence to established companies ready for a complete rebrand or platform rebuild. Industry-wise, we have experience across fashion and beauty, health and wellness, food and beverage, technology, education, tourism, architecture, and retail. What our clients share isn't a sector — it's an appetite for work that's genuinely good.

What platforms do you build on?

We work primarily on Shopify for e-commerce brands, and WordPress for marketing websites, corporate platforms, and content-led sites. For more complex product builds we work in Next.js and custom React stacks. We recommend the platform that fits your business model and your team's ability to manage it after launch — not whatever is popular at the moment. During the discovery phase we'll help you make the right call based on your actual requirements.

Will my website be optimised for search engines?

You do — completely. On delivery, you receive full ownership of all design files, source code, and assets. We don't retain any rights to the work, and we don't lock you into proprietary systems that make it difficult to work with anyone else in future. Your Figma files, your WordPress or Shopify codebase, your brand guidelines — all yours.

What is the difference between WordPress and Shopify?

Shopify is a hosted e-commerce platform purpose-built for selling products online. It handles payments, inventory, checkout, and scaling well — ideal if your primary goal is running an online store. WordPress is a more flexible content management system suited to marketing websites, service businesses, content platforms, and corporate sites. It gives you more control over structure and content but requires more management. We help you choose based on your business model, your technical comfort level, and where you want to be in two years — not just what works today.

Branding & identity

What is the difference between a logo and a brand identity?

A logo is one element of a brand identity — the mark. A brand identity is the complete visual system: logo, typography, colour palette, iconography, photography style, layout principles, and the guidelines that govern how all of it is used consistently across every touchpoint. A logo without a system is just an icon. A brand identity gives your team the tools to communicate coherently across your website, packaging, social media, campaigns, and anything else your brand appears on.

Do I need brand strategy before a visual identity?

In most cases, yes — and it saves significant time and money later. Brand strategy defines your positioning, your audience, your value proposition, and your tone of voice before anyone opens Figma. Without it, visual identity decisions are based on personal preference rather than strategic purpose. That said, the depth of strategy work depends on the size and stage of your business. A founder launching their first brand needs something different from an established company repositioning for a new market. We scope strategy work proportionately to what you actually need.

What does a branding project with Create Circus include?

It depends on the scope agreed in discovery, but a full brand identity engagement with us typically covers: brand strategy and positioning, mission and value definition, competitive analysis, target audience personas, verbal identity and tone of voice, logo and icon system design, custom typography, colour architecture, visual identity system, stationery and collateral design, and comprehensive brand guidelines. For brands that need a faster turnaround or a more focused scope, we also offer brand refresh and logo suite projects. We'll scope exactly what's right for your situation after an initial conversation.

Can you rebrand an existing business?

Yes — rebranding is a significant part of what we do. We've worked with businesses at various stages of rebrand: some starting from scratch with a new name and direction, others refreshing an existing identity that has outgrown its original design, and others going through structural changes like a market pivot or geographic expansion. Rebranding requires careful handling of what to keep, what to change, and how to transition without losing the equity your existing brand has built. We approach it strategically, not just visually.

Process & Collaboration

How does a project typically start?

It starts with a conversation — usually a 30-minute discovery call where we get to understand your business, your goals, and what you're trying to solve. If we're a good fit, we'll follow up with a detailed proposal covering scope, approach, and investment. Once the proposal is agreed and the deposit is paid, we move into a formal discovery and briefing phase before any design begins. Getting the brief right at the start is how we avoid expensive changes later.

What do I need to prepare before starting a project?

The more clarity you can bring to the brief, the smoother the project runs. Useful things to have ready: a clear sense of your business goals and target audience, examples of work you like and why, any existing brand assets, and a realistic sense of your timeline and budget range. You don't need everything perfectly documented — part of our job in discovery is helping you get clear on the things you're still working through. But the more prepared you are, the faster and more accurately we can scope and start.

How do you communicate during a project?

We work asynchronously by default — which suits distributed teams and busy founders well. We use structured project management tools to keep everything documented, trackable, and transparent, with scheduled review milestones rather than constant back-and-forth. For each project you'll have a dedicated point of contact who keeps you informed at every stage. We're responsive, we communicate clearly, and we flag issues early rather than letting them surface at the wrong moment.

What happens if I need changes after the project is delivered?

Minor refinements within the agreed scope are handled as part of the project. Requests that fall outside the original scope are quoted separately and transparently — no surprise invoices, no "that's out of scope" without explanation. For ongoing changes, updates, and improvements after launch, our monthly retainers are structured exactly for this — giving you a dedicated team to keep your site improving rather than treating launch as the end of the relationship.
